Sized to you, not to a letter
Small, medium and large were made for warehouses. We fit you with five measurements, saved to your profile and used for every piece you order.
Round every number to the nearest half inch. It takes about three minutes.
Neck
- Wrap the tape around the base of your neck, where a shirt collar sits.
- Slip two fingers under the tape so it’s snug, not tight.
- Using a steel tape? Wrap a string, pinch where it meets, then measure the string.
Most men measure between 14 and 18 inches.
Sleeve
- Stand tall with your hand on your hip and your elbow slightly bent.
- Have a friend measure from the center of the back of your neck, over the shoulder seam, down to your wrist bone.
- Optional: shoulder seam to wrist helps us get short sleeves right too.
Most men land between 32 and 37 inches.
Chest
- Lift your arms and wrap the tape under them, around the fullest part of your chest.
- Lower your arms and keep the tape level across your back.
- Breathe normally. Don’t puff up.
Round to the nearest half inch.
Waist
- Measure where you actually wear your belt, usually just above the hip bones, not at the navel.
- Leave two fingers of room.
- Use your real number, not the size on your pant tag. Brands vary.
Tag says 34 but you measure 35? That’s normal.
Inseam & hem
- Barefoot, feet slightly apart: have a friend measure from the top of your inner thigh straight down to your ankle bone. A steel tape works well here.
- Easier: lay your best-fitting pants flat and measure from the crotch seam to the hem.
- Then choose your hem: no break (modern), slight break (classic) or full break (sits on the shoe).
We’ll hem to your mark.
Your numbers, matched to the garment
Choose your fit
Fitted sits close. Tailored leaves a little more room through the chest. Classic is relaxed, but still cut clean.
We do the math
We compare your measurements with the finished measurements of each garment, size and cut, then show your best match and how it will fit, for example “sleeves ½″ long.”
Saved for next time
Your profile works across every school’s collection. If something isn’t right, tell us why and we’ll adjust your profile for the next order.
No tape measure at home?
We plan to include a cloth tape measure in every first order, so you can check your numbers and verify your fit.
